I brought in four pair of my garden pruners. Three we're of value and one, not so much. He first said that he didn't think he could sharpen them then he said, let me try. That should tell you what kind of shape they were in. He only charged me $4.50 a pair. I picked them up and I did some gardening/pruning today. Oh my!!! They don't look like the day I bought them but they certainly cut like they did! I couldn't be happier and I can't sing the man who sharpened them, praises enough. Get your blades sharpened here. Thank you Tropical Hardware!!🤗

The selection was great. Prices are really good. The staff is friendly . Also, they have a good collection of unique bottled sodas!

This store has been my "go-to" place for the last 2 + years. For a small store, it is well stocked, and they will order things for you if you can wait. It doesn't pay to go to the "big box" stores when they are just around the corner.....and the Home Depots of the world are not always cheaper.... I have found many items of the same or BETTER quality at Tropical at a lower price. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, capable, and helpful. This is a great family owned and run local business.

This store has a great inventory, super polite and professional staff and the prices are unbelievable low. Everytime I bought from them I had a pleasure experience and the items I got had the same price as Home Depot, with a better customer service from the employees. I definitely recommend this business!

Went in there last week. I like to support small businesses when I can, and this place is an excellent example why. I was greeted as soon as I walked in, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The selection was a little overwhelming, and more than what I expected from such a small shop, but the staff helped me find exactly what I needed and the prices were reasonable. I would definitely recommend this place.

The staff is always so knowledgeable. I came in with a part. He said, " your in trouble." He gave me the perfect tool and my shower works great now.

I love this neighborhood hardware store, it's always my first choice. The staff is very friendly and helpful. You will get greeted everytime you walk in and you also get individual treatment and questions answered. I have never left there disappointed. All my DIY projects start with Tropical Hardware!

They had some hard to find screws I couldn't find at the traditional places (TSC, home depot, Northern, etc). Not that the other places are bad, Tropical deserves credit for making the investment stocking difficult to find inventory (see picture). Well done.

Really like this neighborhood hardware store. I always shop here before a big box store whenever I can. It’s easy to navigate and the customer service is reminiscent of how people used to treat their patrons “back in the day” with kindness, professionalism and a smile. Highly recommend you start here first!

I'm a great way, walking into Tropical Hardware felt like stepping into an episode of The Wonder Years—that old-fashioned, family-run vibe you just don’t find anymore. The owner (I believe) greeted me right away, friendly, helpful, and genuinely willing to take a minute to explain what I needed. Anyone who’s tackled a project knows how the big box stores usually mean ten trips to find the right part. At Tropical Hardware, it was one trip and done. That personal touch, that “we actually care” mentality, is exactly what’s missing in today’s corporate world. I’m grateful I stopped in.
